Thanks to a grant from Suez Communities Trust Pomphrey Hill now has a small open plan play area installed on the site designed for children aged 3-11years. After delays in the installation due to COVID the play area was eventually installed in late July and has proved a popular addition to the site since then. The area consists of a play trail, 2 stand alone pieces, an embankment slide and 3 interactive play boards and the hope is that over the next few years that we will be able to add additional pieces of equipment to enhance what we already have. The decision was made to keep the area open plan with a view to adding further pieces in the future without having to remove railings / fencing but also to allow parents / carers to seat themselves slightly away from the area and still keep a close watch on their children.
